Black and white, lines, light, shadow and form. When I notice a scene like this, I consider it a gift. As the photographer, I'm free to play with the elements in such a way that they align with who I am, and it allows me to embed my narrative into the composition. The great thing about a camera is it teaches you to see. I had passed this east end area thousands of times in my life,
but had never investigated it with a camera.
This was my reward.
