This image was created during a challenging period.
In stark contrast to the street work I had been shooting, I had started shooting the valley, in the east end, experimenting with slower shutter speeds while incorporating intentional camera movement to produce a more painterly look to the images.
I began my journey crafting images in our garden and focused on this one flower in particular. This new path, full of new possibilities, helped me endure this difficult period with hope and optimism.
